Club Members photographed after AGM 10 mile time trial |
||
Grimsby Triathlon Club was formed in September 2005 by local GP Iain Chalmers and a few people who were competing in triathlons at the time. Since then it has gone from strength to strength and there are currently 30 members who regularly compete and meet for training, club competitions and social events. If you are interested in joining our friendly club then just turn up at one of the scheduled sessions or email Iain for further information.
The cost of club membership (as of 17/10/06) is £10 per year. This will mean you as a member have full BTA insurance coverage during any approved club event.
There were 18 approved events in 2006 season, and more planned for 2007. The summer season will usually involve a selection of events. Each month will have, on average, 2 duathlon (run/bike/run) sessions, one open water swim session, one cycle time trial and one coached track session. There will also be a weekly coached pool swim session throughout the year. During the winter months the number of coached track sessions is increased while the duathlons stop. Full paid up club members have a number of additional benefits in reduced cost of BTA membership, and 10% discount at 2 local shops- S Ettridge Cycles and Lincoln Runner.
